I am suggesting adding an option to "Prompt to save file" before file>publish>publish as flattened. The following scenarios explain what I want. I want Scenario 2 to happen, rather than the current situation, which is Scenario 1.
Scenario 1:
Assume I have a fillable file A.PDF. I made some changes to it (filled the fields, added some markups and so on). I select "File>Save As" and save it to file B.PDF. Now, if I open the A.PDF, all the changes have been removed. Not saved. That is OK. This is what "Save As" means.
Scenario 2:
Assume I have a fillable file A.PDF. I made some changes to it (filled the fields, added some markups and so on). I select "File>Print" and print it as B.PDF. The file A.PDF is still open, and the file B.PDF is open in ANOTHER tab. So I did not miss the original A.PDF.
Right now, the "File>Publish as Flattened" works like scenario 1. If I FORGET to save file A.PDF and then publish it as a flattened file, then I will have a flattened file, but I will lose my changes in file A.PDF.
I need the Bluebeam to
Either
keeps open the file A.PDF after the Publish as Flattened command, so I have the opportunity to save it,
or
Blubeam brings a warning, like when we want to close a file without saving, and asks for "Save Changes?" so I have the opportunity to save A.PDF before it closes.
Does anyone else have the same situation?
