Currently you can add a "depth" value in the measurements panel for a Polyline or Perimeter markup. This depth value is used to calculate a "wall area" measurement, which can be displayed on with the markup caption and in a wall area column. The primary quantity though is the length of the Polyline or Perimeter.
The suggested tool would output the Wall Area as the primary quantity in the markups list.
