Hi,
I'm new here, I searched the forum, but I couldn't find a similar question, sorry if I missed it.
We recently auto labeled a file share with Microsoft Purview labels. Once we did this, we found our users were unable to open the files. We followed the guidance for integrating Bluebeam and were able to get past that initial issue.
Use Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) with Bluebeam Revu | Bluebeam Technical Support
We can now open files that are labeled, but we can't edit them even if we have the rights to do so.
In the Bluebeam Technical Support document, there's a statement that says, "After downloading and installing Revu 21.0.30 or later, you can open MIP-secured files in Revu and Studio. Because these documents are secured, many tools and menu items will appear grayed out, providing a read-only experience for PDFs."
This has me concerned as it sounds as if a file is labeled via Purview you lose the ability to make changes to it via Bluebeam Revu.
The file permissions shown in Revu are not correct. They all show as restricted even though they're not. I've attached two screenshots, one from Revu and one from Acrobat. You can see permissions in Acrobat are all Allowed, while the Revu permissions are all Restricted; this is the same file.
I've opened up a ticket with support to get their answer, but I thought I would post this problem here to see if anyone else has encountered it and what their solution was.
