For markups, we would like to be able to assign the built-in cloud line type for open polylines. The cloud markup tool automatically closes the polyline and that's perfectly fine as is. But in rare occasions we would like to have an open cloud.
@JD2 - LT you could see if Bluebeam has anything in their "Revu Custom Libraries" at:
https://support.bluebeam.com/revu/resources/revu-custom-libraries.html
I was able to create a custom line assigned to a polyline type that got me close - it's a bit rough at the control point bends but you get the idea:
@Troy DeGroot has a number of free custom line styles available on his site at https://uchapter2.com/resources/free-downloads/line-styles/
You could see if perhaps he has one that would work for you. 😎
Thanks for the mention @David Cutler
Anyone can take advantage of my free downloads, linestyles, hatch patterns, or custom tools. Many other free resources as well. https://uchapter2.com/resources/
David,
Thank you! This is close enough for me. I forgot about the "arc" vector in the custom line editor. It was kinda fun to play around with the editor and I ended up breaking it. My second vector as disappear… but still there in the line 😐️
I agree! Polygons and clouds function essentially the same way; you can even select the "cloud" line style for your polygons, but this line style is not available for the polyline or line tools. There are times when I would like to be able to mark up just a portion of a cloud such as expanding an existing one or if a cloud crosses a page border, but I cannot do this efficiently. Understanding that clouds function in a more complex way than a simple line, I can see why this is not already an option, but if the "insulation" line style is already available, I don't see why "cloud" could not be added in a similar way, even with the "size" and "invert" functions.
