Sometimes when I upload a PDF, it turns blue when i try to create a measurement, and will not allow me to get and quantities. What is causing this
You cannot make this change to a file within a Studio Session. But before a file is uploaded, look in the Measurements tab and see what scales and viewports exist. If there are any untitled viewports, be sure to delete them. Any named viewports with a scale, verify they are correct for the given area
The PDF almost certainly has "Viewports." Put simply, these are scales added to an area or areas of a PDF. The blue highlights you see are the areas managed by the viewports. I personally remove all viewports before working with any PDF's, however, if you're working in tandem with someone else I would check with them first. See this help file from Bluebeam: https://support.bluebeam.com/revu/how-to/use-viewports.html
Yes, I believe that is the problem. How do I turn those Viewports off, or remove protected scales?
Great information, Thankyou!
Chances are you have a viewport that you did not create. Clear all viewports and set your own scales.
Failing that, the document is locked.

Hi All, I am using Civil 3D 2024 and have installed the Autocad Plugin but when I click on "Create PDF" it does nothing. The only button out of the 4 that does work is the "Change Settings" button. We are on REVU 21 Complete. Does anyone know why? Thanks
How do I add a new toolset?

I would like to remove and save approx. 10 pdfs from a studio session to condense the list to the most current files. The process of deleting individual files and saving a local copy is rather tedious. Is there a way to streamline the process?
BB crashed and I had added/edited dozens of tools and when I logged back in many of the toolsets were not showing in my profile or in the toolset list (so not hidden). Any ideas? And when I tried importing it said they already existed….
Curious if others have experienced this error when trying to PDF from the Bluebeam Add-in within Word and if you have any fixes: Version: 21.6.1 Operating System: Windows 10
I am struggling with converting certain tables and/or bid tabs from PDF into Excel. I have tried the entire document and just the page region, but when I export the data, the formatting is all screwed up. I can't seem to get the tables to import neatly. Any suggestions?
Hi. I've been banging my head against this one for a long time and it seems to be an intended feature. For all of my measurement markups, it seems like I can't add or modify comments. It will only prepopulate the comments field based on what I select to show in caption under properties. In practice what this means for me…
I'm working on a workflow in Bluebeam Revu where I need to tally items in multiples of 3, even though all materials are ultimately ordered in single units. The challenge is that many items I mark up are typically grouped in threes — for example, a single instance on the drawing represents three units of material. I want to…
