While there are a lot of apple users, there are also a significant proportion of mobile and tablet users that are android.
My company needs android support for our devices, approx 60% of our mobile devices are not supported
Hi @Mat_EPA ,
Android support is a big focus for us. We’re rolling out Studio Project check-in/check-out and highlighter markup this quarter, with more markups and local file access coming next.
What features are essential for your field users? We’d love to hear more about how your team works today.
Feel free to reach out to me directly by message if you'd like to take this offline. Thanks!
I have alot of our customers requesting the Android platform to be at least the same or better than the ios. Thx
Hi @Rick Kremer,
Thanks for your feedback! We’re aiming to bring Android up to speed with iOS, but since Android launched a bit later, there’s still some ground to cover. We’re not slowing down iOS, but Android benefits from everything we’ve learned so far on other platforms, which has helped us build a really solid experience. While we’re still working out features like Studio access and offline capabilities, we’re continuing to develop more markup tools to get us closer to supporting all general markups, measurements, and the Tool Chest (expected in 2026).
Thank you Shawn for the update. I'm super excited to see what changes occur.
I love Blue…
How about a basic feature:
Hi @John Dickinson ,
Thanks for the feedback. This app was first released in 2023 and repurposed in 2024 for Studio, which delayed some markup capabilities. Our focus now is giving users access to their files (whether in Studio or on their device) while continuing to expand markup tools.
Landscape mode is on our list for this year. In September, we’re releasing the Highlighter (our first freehand markup for Android) and the ability to check out Studio Project files. Pen Markup with Eraser is in development and expected in Q4.
We appreciate your patience and your passion to see the ideal mobile Bluebeam experience.
Thanks for the pen markup and highlighter tool.
I need to select different colors and pen widths for both the pen and highlighter tool.
The pen line width needs to be thicker to be easily seen when the PDF is printed in color.
The highlight line width needs to be adjustable so it stands out (thick line width), but can be small enough to highlight cells in a text table (thin line width).
Adjusting the line widths and colors in the Android mobile app is more convenient than opening the Windows app, defining the colors and widths, and then going to the Android tablet.
