Hi Bluebeam Community,
I’m encountering a confusing issue with the measurement tools in Bluebeam and would like some advice or clarification.
When I use the Calibrate tool on a drawing PDF, I set the scale using the distance between two grid lines (for example, Grid PG to Grid PH, which is annotated as 3,035mm). After calibration, when I use the Length Measurement tool to check the distance between Grid A and Grid B, the result matches perfectly.
However, when I measure the distance from Grid PK to Grid PL (which should also be 3,320mm), the result shows a decimal value instead of a whole number. This makes me question the accuracy of the measurements and creates confusion when performing quantity takeoffs in Bluebeam.
Is this a limitation of working with PDFs, or is it a known issue with Bluebeam’s measurement tools? Has anyone experienced similar problems, and are there any best practices to improve measurement accuracy?
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
