I am very new to BlueBeam, I have managed to insert my Professional engineer stamp, I need to insert the date and signature on the stamp, meaning to layover the date and signature on the stamp in a certain area, and all should be visible.
Welcome to Bluebeam.
What you're going to need to do is learn how to make a dynamic stamp. There are videos and other tutorials on the subject, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.
The stamp will have a small amount of JavaScript in it, which will allow you to place those variables.
Good luck
Thank you Doug!
You can make the stamp without using JavaScript by using Dynamic Fill. Just add a text box to the stamp and choose "Date" from the "Dynamic" dropdown. See the example below.
Note: The date shown will be the date the stamp is applied, and it can't be changed.
Hope this helps.
Another thing to remember when stamping your engineer's seal/stamp onto PDF's is to double check what your regulatory body allows in regards to signing/stamping digital documents. For instance both APEGA & EGBC seem to recommend utilizing Notarius for their digital stamps:APEGA Digital SignaturesNotarius link for APEGA If you look under PRactice Advisor FAQ on the EGBC site (Specifically the 2nd point on sealing documents) reads:
"No, a scanned image of your seal, signature, and date, cannot be applied. However, the image of the seal can be scanned and applied to a document, which is then printed, signed, and dated. The legal requirement is that the signature is live.
For more information on sealing requirements please read the Quality Management Guides."
https://www.egbc.ca/registrants/practice-resources/practice-advice-program/practice-advisor-faqs I believe that you can still utilize Bluebeam for this - the signing registrant for our company manages it so if there's any confusion I can reach out to inquire further details regarding how they have it setup.
Just a FYI @David Kozuchar - were you aware that Bluebeam Stapler removes the digital signature from previously signed documents from Notarius / Consign-O?
Could someone guide me on how to initiate and complete a Secondary Steel (For an Example: Bent Plate, Angles, CMU Wall Supports, Sill Angle….) project using Bluebeam? A video tutorial would be preferable for better understanding.
Hello, I've read a few forums on here with the same issue. I'm using an M3 MacBook pro with parallels and windows 11 installed. When I open Revu 21 the sign in screen is blank but I some of the buttons work, seems like they are just invisible. I was able to sign in by guessing where the text box is and the sign in button,…
One of my co-workers cannot get the sign in button to work at all, flashes for a second then goes back to "Sign in". Tried switching / resetting profiles, restarting. Really trying to avoid re-install.
Since the last update of Bluebeam every time I use the Overlay tool it tries to compare all the pages of the first document with the current page of the second document. This results in an error message. I can manually change the page selection to current and the overlay will work but this gets tedious when doing overlays…
Good Day Bugs-We recently changed from Adobe to BB. I needed to reduce a large size pdf. It seemed easy to do, and was happy to see I could do multiple files at once. However, the files are still too large to email. 15-30mb. I have tried reducing again, moved the quality slider in the output options box and it still only…
Hi everyone, It's my first time posting and I just started using the markup list for reporting, but I'm running into issues in Revu 21.6. 1)Exporting Non-Comment Text: A Markup Summary report includes text from the drawing that is not a comment. I presumed this happens because the text is editable? The goal is to filter…
I am able to add a hyperlink to my sheet when my photo is located on my local drive, is there a way to share the file to someone else with the hyperlink and have them be able to pull up the same hyperlink to the pdf?
New to the community, so hopefully I am asking this in the right place. I use Revu for creating pdfs with specific custom icons for different cameras placed on my drawings. In many cases, I have a project that will run multiple phases, with the desire to have each phase on a separate page. I would like to have a legend on…
