Re-Open a List of files

I am opening a half-dozen or more files at a time that are Design manuals, Guidelines and Best Practice type of resources, for several DOT clients, one client at a time. I am not collaborating with other users for this effort. I don't need a Session.

I would like to see a couple tools, one to Save a List of Files that are currently open (like the Script Manager dialog has), and another tool to click that would Load a list and just open those files. That way I could save a list for each client - TDOT, MDOT, ArDOT, TxDOT, GDOT, SCDOT, etc. and have all their usual (design) manuals opened up from our library to get me going quickly. The main idea is to repeatedly open the same list of files without digging around to locate them. Our paths are long, and the filenames can be long as well. Let's make it more efficient!

Agree. Perhaps much like a saved Profile, this could be a saved Workspace. It could include settings for where the markups list is, split views, etc. There is a lot of set up involved in getting a space working well for particular workflows and it is always a shame to close down and lose it when switching between projects, or bluebeam crashing.

Shaya, I tried to use the Script Manager to create a script to do it.

There is a DeleteFile command, but no OpenFile command available.

So, I tried to write a script with a non-destructive action, i.e., I made a script with FormExport command. The script worked, form report was generated, although there were no forms, but the files did not open in tabs, they apparently were just examined and reported on... Dead end.

Nothing else in the current selection of Commands seemed appropriate for the task. I may make a suggestion to add another script Command to open files by list in a batch mode. Please up-vote it.

I'm just figuring out the File Access Panel, and the Categories you can create and populate. There is also a menu selection on File Access dropdown to "Reopen files from last session." This is getting me closer to what I need for my workflow.

Does anyone know if I were to set up all my Categories with pinned pdfs, could I also export and pass these on to other users for a quick import?

Part of the difficulty in learning a product like BBM is the Terminology that gets used. It can be limiting to one's understanding or ability to search for help in the proper areas. Again, much appreciated!
