I had the OCR plug in or whatever it is called. Tried to use it and received Revu’s Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software must be installed to scan documents for text. I downloaded the installed the MSI package for my 64 bit version of Revu. I clicked on the OCR MSI FIle yet I am clueless as the OCR error message…
I am a civil QS and have been using Bluebeam for only 2 weeks. I'm struggling to measure curved corners in Bluebeam. In a drawing with several curved corners, I used the curved method in Bluebeam, but it's very time-consuming. Would it be possible to find a shortcut key for this, similar to Planswift where you can simply…
I am tired of having to change each of my measurements from ft'in" to in" every time. I know I can select all at once and change them all to in" but was hoping I could default all measurements to in". TIA!
Hello all! I have used Revu 18 for the last few years and just transitioned to 21. I'm using the most basic of functionalities honestly but I need help on 21 please. In 18, when you opened a new pdf and needed to calibrate, you could measure an existing known dimension, then put the Feet and Inches in to calibrate the…
Can someone please tell me why check box "Show Segment Values" sometimes will not allow the user to actually make a check mark to show on the drawing. The command Show Segment Values is in dim mode which means it is not an active feature. Very frustrating. I have no idea why it does this on occasion. I am hoping there is a…
I'm using the search function to create custom hyperlinks to navigate around a set of architectural drawings between joinery items, finishes etc that cannot be linked using page labels. Ultimately I want to be able to transfer these hyperlinks to revised drawings as they come in rather than having to manually set them up…
CTRL + F initiates a search. I type the search term. I press Enter to see results. Upon pressing CTRL + F again to search another term, instead of highlighting the search term field for editing, it changes the "what to search" selector to "Folder". Is there any way around this? Very frustrating, and I don't believe older…
I assumed this How to print pop-up comments | Bluebeam Technical Support was a way to show a reply as a physical markup on a sheet as a note. But this doesn't seem to be the case (I'm assuming this is for printing markup summaries?) Is there a way to show replys on a sheet as something as simple as a note for printing?
I've been trying to finalize a BB session for about 1.5 hrs now. Its stuck generating the report (which I don't actually need) I just need all of the marked up PDFs. My fear is that if I click cancel it will end the session and all the mark ups will be gone. It is quite hefty, so its possible its still generating that…

Please add folders within sessions for document organization. This will make navigating to the documents within a session cleaner and easier as documents within a session can add up and be cumbersome to have to search through to find what the user is trying to open. This feature would be greatly appreciated by all. Thank…
Hi all, my name is Aily, and I'm the Manager of Customer Education at Bluebeam - nice to meet you! I want to learn how you prefer to train, onboard, or up-skill your internal employees on everything Bluebeam, so I can make sure we're allocating the right resources to the right kinds of training (aka help me help you!). If…
On the Bluebeam website, under "Resources" > "Need an older version of Revu?" there is only v20 and older. This needs new options, like v21.6. Currently the need for this is high, because v21.7 has a highly annoying "new feature" while drawing polylines, areas and contour and area measurement. Something goes visually wrong…
I just installed version 21.4 this morning on a second work machine, and encountered the common problem of Print to Bluebeam being broken during install. I resolved the problem using the following steps (Windows 11, 64 bit). I have admin privileges, so make sure you can make such changes before starting. I can't guarantee…
While I wait for the influx of new members from the PHX/NorCal bug webinar I thought I'd ask about your experience with making custom hatches and line styles in Bluebeam (the topic of the webinar). There were some great examples of custom hatches and lines that made a lot of sense for those users. One was a civil office…
If you've ever had to place a symbol on a drawing more than three times, you've probably wondered, "I wish I didn't have to keep clicking on the symbol every time I want to place it." I have great news for you 😀 The Reuse Tools option keeps that tool selected for placing as many instances of a symbol as you need! There are…
Did you know that double-clicking a Bluebeam Revu Profile (.bpx file) automatically opens Revu and imports the profile for you? This is the quickest and easiest way to have a User import a Profile. It is a very low impact for our non-technical friends and co-workers. 😅 It is much better than explaining how to click the…
I should be able to post a link here and have it take you to a Bluebeam session and a specific file within it. http:// (session URL) / file I should be able to link to a markup even as well. Why isn't this in Bluebeam yet? It's so frustrating that we (in multiple workplaces I've been at) have to say "hey folks we posted…
I would like another option for locking that allows for a shapes dimensions to be locked, but still be able to move the shape / sketch around. An example of this would be a toggle for "dimension lock" where I could trace the outline of a building and rotate / move it around a site or property without accidentally changing…
I have used BlueBeam Revu to create piping isometric drawings. However, this process takes a very long time and is painstaking because currently Revu only allows you to snap to 45° or 90°. If there was an option to turn on snapping to 15° increments, it would allow for much cleaner and faster creation/marking up of piping…
