  • Genius graphic tweak there @JJones !!!

Looks really good in that screenshot and, the magic factor, looks like it would boost efficiency when scanning for markups in drawings rather than the markup list.

Using a dark background (dark mode) in Bluebeam Revu 21.3 offers several benefits, especially for users who spend long hours working on PDFs, markups, and design documents. Here are the main advantages:

    • Reduced Eye Strain and Fatigue
    • Improved Focus on Content
    • Enhanced Visibility of Colored Markups

Adjust Highlight Opacity, Experiment with Color Contrast, and Customize Markup Properties
are the useful features for Optimizing Dark Mode

Utilizing Dark Mode for our purposes helps when reviewing Civil 3D produced figures, our CAD software is set to be a fully black background and the new mode allows for any colour to be set:

Additionally, it intuitively adjusts the base colours available in the software according to their contrast so there hasn't been any trouble seeing existing markups when toggling Dark Mode on:

All in all, great addition in 21.3.0

    Great tip @JJones!

For me, as a person with dyslexia, having the option to change the background color back and forth so quickly really helps me reduce reading and eye fatigue and helps trick my brain into making less reading errors. A lot of programs need to be restarted to switch "styles" like light to dark mode, so having it as a toggle is extremely useful and is already a staple in my workflow.

It would be nice as development continues to have the same or a similar toggle with a extended background options- Blue like original blueprints, a custom color, or a High contrast mode for additional accessibility.
