Help with calibrating on Revu 21 PLEASE!

Hello all! I have used Revu 18 for the last few years and just transitioned to 21. I'm using the most basic of functionalities honestly but I need help on 21 please. In 18, when you opened a new pdf and needed to calibrate, you could measure an existing known dimension, then put the Feet and Inches in to calibrate the drawing. In 21, I can ONLY use Scale it appears which isn't working for me. In 18, I would click "Calibrate" and it would simply ask for feet and inches to calibrate. I can not for the life of me find this option on 21.

Can someone please tell me how to get back to using Feet and Inches from an existing known dimension on the pdf? Thank you!!

@carina what version are you using? Your screen grabs are how it used to be for me but I just upgraded to Revu 21 and it is no longer an option that I can find. When I click on "Calibrate" it only allows me to enter scale. I no longer have the option to measure something and then enter the dimensions.

  • I'm using v20 but it looks like yours. Click on the calibrate button and then select your two reference points. You should then get this pop-up window dialogue. Hopefully, this looks familiar.

  • @Luke Shiras I do get that screen pop up but I don't always have the scale on the drawings I need to work with. I am looking to be able to calibrate by, for example, dragging an exterior wall dimension that I know is 120'6" and then type in the "120' 6"" to calibrate instead of using scale. I was able to do it on previous version I was using but can't find it on 21.

  • Right, with the popup I show, you would click on calibrate, then pick the points at each end of the 120' 6" wall. That real distance would be then automatically entered on the left side of the popup and you would enter 120'-6" on the right side and apply scale.

  • @Luke Shiras well that was certainly the piece I was missing!! I was thinking it requires the "1/8" = 1'" style that some plans I work with have. I appreciate your response SO MUCH! I also joined the SpokaneBUG group! I'm in Post Falls! Thank you again!!!

  • My calibration tool is not making sense, HELP, I am doing the steps I should but can't find a trouble shoot on how to sort this one out, take a look… I'm calibrating the 8450, changing units to mm, but it misses the measure bby a few mm, and nowhere near the other measure when I checked! HELP??
