Is there a way to select only certain pages/sections in the document? Sometimes I need to view only a section of a large document so I have to scroll to specific pages/sections which can be very time consuming. The entire document is needed but would like the ability to only select particular pages/sections at a time

  • Can you expand on what you're trying to do?

Typically when working with a large document, I navigate via the (labeled) thumbnail views or bookmarks. Are you trying to do something else?

  • For example. I have a document of 100 pages with Sections A thru F and I only need to view sections B and F. Eventually I'll review the rest of the document but would like the option to view or compare sections B and F for the time being if that makes sense.

  • Sounds like bookmarks with a tree organization is your best bet. Make bookmarks for Sections A-F with sub-bookmarks for parts A1-A9 (as makes sense for you). Then you can collapse the unused sections to focus on Sections B and F.

Unfortunately, this only really helps if Sections can be subdivided in some logical way. If each section is 20+ pages with no natural breaks then bookmarking each section is less helpful. But maybe it's worth bookmarking each page and making it a sub-bookmark of the main sections.

The example below shows bookmarks for each discipline (Main Sections) with sub-bookmarks for each sheet of that discipline.

  • Thanks for the quick response, Luke. I am familiar with this feature but was hoping for something with a little more precision. The way our admin uploads the docs to Bluebeam will not allow me to select or bookmark certain pages, unfortunately.
