Text box / call out text box orientation

I am encountering an odd condition.

When placing a text box or call-out text box, the orientation is 90 degrees from horizontal. After entering the text, I have to rotate and size the box.

I tried rotating the PDF to see if the original orientation of the document mattered, but it did not.

Settings, software glitch?

Please advise.

    Weird. Which version of Revu are you using? Also, which angle does it come in at (90 or 270)?

    I did a quick test and this can't be set as default which was my first guess. My next thought is does your window match your thumbnail view? You may have rotated your view (vs the page) so the bottom of the page is actually on the side of the screen rather than the bottom of the screen.

  • Hi Luke

    I am using Version 21.3 which I believe is latest.

    Screen shot;

    "testing" written in box and this is the outcome

    Text box to right is waiting for input, text box behind it was my location / layout.

    https://community.bluebeam.com/bluebeam-community/profile/Scott%20Foss : You didn't say whether you verified Luke's "next thought": if you have rotated your view, as shown in his screen-grab, text markups come in oriented to the underlying page rotation.

    (Rotate View changes the orientation of the view but does not change the document, as Rotate Pages does. I.e. if you close and re-open, the page orientation will not have changed due to the use of Rotate View previously.)

  • If my idea doesn't solve your issue, then we may need to reach out to @Marco M and see if the BB staff have any solutions.
