Is the Revit connection one-way or bi-directional?

Great question! The short answer is: it depends on what you're doing. When it comes to placing markups, the flow is one-directional — markups added during a Studio Session are pushed into the Revit model automatically. However, markup statuses can be updated from either side, making that part of the workflow fully bi-directional. So your Revit users aren't just passive recipients, they can actively manage and update markup status without leaving Revit.

Can tablet markups connect back to Revit?

Yes, any markup placed in the connected Studio Session regardless of the device it was placed on will be reflected in the connected Revit model.

Are Revit-Connected session comments persistent across the model and visible in 3D?

Revit-Connection Session markups are not persistent in the model. They are only visible while the plugin is activated. These markups are visible both in sheet views and in 3D

How do I save the markups from a Connected Session to Revit?

Once the Connected Session ends, the markups will no longer be available in Revit or the Session.

Before the Session ends, the person ending the session will be asked if you want to save local copy of the markups up document. These are out of the session and saved to the local user's machine.
