I have uploaded a batch PDF; I have noticed there are already layers that the Bluebeam software has picked up and added in the layer section. Please let me know if there is a quick and seamless way to perform these actions.
Clarification: The Bluebeam layers that appear in the Layers section do not appear in the markups section. Why is that?
Action 1: The action I am trying to preform is to measure all the double dashed lines on a page. I noticed that one of the layers that the Bluebeam software automatically picked up on is all of those doubled dashed lines that I need to measure. Currently, I isolate that layer and then use the measuring tool to measure all of those lines. What I am looking for is a shortcut. I would like to isolate those lines and then with one or two clicks tell BB to measure that particular layer. Is this possible?
Action number two: On another page in the same document, the Bluebeam software picked up the layers of single dashed lines and double dashed lines automatically but combined them. Is there a way to split a preexisting layer and then preform the same action in action 1 of measure those lines separately and in a seamless fashion.
Thank you in advance and look forward to your response.

For the first part of the question, the layers you're seeing in the PDF probably came from the authoring software (Autocad, Revit, etc..). The reason why they're not in the markups list is the markups themselves are not assigned to a layer.
For the rest of the post, the answer unfortunately is simply, not an option today.
Hey all, I understand the new Bluebeam Cloud app on iPadOS is being constantly improved, but is there going to be a way to open a marked up pdf from third parties like Microsoft One Drive? Are you guys looking into giving users the ability to turn on/off layers? I do layouts for the electrical installations on my projects…
Hello everyone, I work in the telecommunications field and frequently provide plan markups for various roadway projects. These plans often come in a wide range of scales—from 1" = 20' to 1" = 100'. I’m wondering if there’s a way to copy markups from a plan with one scale (e.g., 1" = 40') and paste them into another plan…
My team primarily uses custom objects for their take offs, we've set up tool boxes with all of our common size options. What we run into is when doing a large take off layout the objects handles will fully overlap other objects and make to where we cannot select objects and delete or manipulate them, or we'll grab an…
BlueBeam Community I just transitioned to a new Fire & Life Safety company in the recent days. By any chance, would anyone be willing to share fire alarm set for my tool chest on BlueBeam? Or provide me with a good site to download a few good fire alarm tool chests.
The last couple of weeks I have had a problem. When I click on a Session it starts to load it and then kicks me out of the Session and gives me this exact same message: After I select OK I can re-enter the Session I was trying to review without an issue. This happens every time I enter a Session that I was not in recently…
Since upgrading to 21.6.1, it seems I have to rearrange order of the tabs on each BB OPEN. I commonly start with about half a dozen tabs open for a couple of most active projects. I like to have them in order of Project 1 Specs, Project 1 CA Set, Project 1 Revisions, Project 2 Specs, Project 2 CA Set, Project 2 Revisions.…
When selecting text in Bluebeam Revu the cursor often behaves erratically and jumps around the page, highlighting areas that I don't want highlighted. How can I precisely select only the text I want to highlight?

I'm trying to load a document with fillable form fields into a Bluebeam Studio session so that when attendees join the session, they can complete their portions of the form. However, when I add the document to the Studio session, all the form fields lock and cannot be filled. How can I make the fields fillable?
Our company currently has a multi-step process for hyperlinking our production unit drawings to our shop drawing details and then unit drawings to our part drawings. Firstly, we open the unit drawings and detail sheets, set up batch link, which requires a linking option setup with "open files" and link settings to be whole…
