Auto-incrementing labels for measurements (Wall 1, Wall 2, Wall 3 ...)

Hi everyone,

I use Revu for quantity takeoffs in drywall and plastering, and I'm looking for a way to have the label of a measurement count up automatically each time I reuse the same tool.

Example: I measure a drywall partition with a measurement tool from my Tool Chest, and its label reads "Wall 1". When I measure the next wall with the same tool, the label should automatically become "Wall 2", then "Wall 3", "Wall 4" and so on.

At the moment I edit every label by hand, which takes a lot of time on larger projects and is prone to errors.

My questions:

1. Is there a built-in way to number measurement labels sequentially, similar to the Sequences feature?
2. If not, is there a reliable workaround, for example custom columns or a script?
3. Or is this only possible with the Claude AI integration?
4. Can the numbering continue across multiple pages or documents?

I'm on the latest version of Revu on Windows.

There’s no built-in auto-numbering for measurement labels the way Sequences works for text. Two workarounds that hold up on big jobs: add a custom text column like ‘Wall ID’ and fill it in the Markups List after the takeoff (sort it, then type straight down the column, which is way faster than editing labels on the sheet), or place a Sequence markup next to each wall and group it with the measurement if you need the number visible on the drawing. Worth posting as a suggestion too; you’re definitely not the only one who wants it.
