Hi,
I'm using Bluebeam Revu 21.9 and I'm trying to use a dot (.) as decimal separator instead of a comma (,).
My goal is to keep the Bluebeam interface in Swedish and continue using metric units (m, m², m³), but display and export numeric values with a decimal point.
What I have already checked:
- Windows Region format is Swedish (Sweden).
- Windows decimal symbol is set to "." (dot).
- Microsoft Excel is configured in English and works correctly with decimal points.
- In Revu, under Preferences > Import/Export > Excel, the decimal symbol is set to Dot.
- I tested different Revu profiles, including the default "Revu" profile.
- Measurements and values in the Markups List still display commas (example: 8,39 m² instead of 8.39 m²).
I also exported a Markup Summary to XML and the generated file contains values such as:
XML<Area unit="m²">8,39</Area><Length unit="m">27,03</Length><Volume unit="m³">83,85</Volume>Show more lines
So this appears to be more than a display issue. Revu is actually exporting values using commas.
I do not want to switch the entire application to English because in the past that caused issues with imperial units and other localization settings and I am used to functions and interface in Swedish.
Questions:
- Is there a way to keep the UI language Swedish while using "." as decimal separator?
- Does Revu 21.9 ignore the Windows decimal symbol and instead use the application language/culture?
- Has this behavior changed in a recent update? (I know I had dot until several days ago)
- Is there any hidden locale/regional setting that affects Markups List and Measurement values?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as copying quantities directly from Revu into Excel and other software becomes much more difficult when commas are used.
I have attached a screenshot from my previous setup where Revu was running in Swedish, metric units were enabled, and precision was displayed as 0.01. After a later update, Revu now shows 0,01 and all measurements use commas, despite Windows decimal symbol still being configured as a dot.
Thank you.
