Highlighter Masking

Attached is a text box beneath two highlighter markups. Drawn on desktop using the mouse. Pen commitment interval is 100 ms. All highlighter markups' highlight property is active. The top highlighter markup is not multiplying with its underlying material. The bottom highlighter markup (modified to resemble a pen) is smoothing legible writing into illegible shapes.

Any tips to recover multiplying highlighters?

Is it true the Bluebeam community may roughly expect a smoothing patch by November?

Not fully sure, but might be worth checking the highlighter's Blend Mode in Properties, it should say "Multiply," not "Normal." Editing or converting a markup, like your pen one, can sometimes reset that, which could be why it's sitting opaque instead of blending. If it's already set right and still not working, deleting it and drawing a fresh one might be easier than trying to fix the old one, at least that's worked for me before.

The smoothing on your signature looks similar to something a few others have mentioned recently, so you're probably not alone here.

On the November patch, I honestly can't confirm that one. I looked and didn't find anything from Bluebeam pointing to a date. Might be worth checking support.bluebeam.com/release-notes-all.html or logging it with Support directly, they'd have a more reliable answer than I could give.
