Automatically replace text in Properties > Layout when typing

When trying to align objects, I am often moving small amounts to get them to align properly. Which means typing a lot. It would be super helpful when clicking on one of the text boxes (X, Y, Rotate, etc.) for it to automatically select all of the text in the box, so when I start typing it will replace what is there. And also highlight what I just typed in after I hit enter. It is a pain to select it everytime, and super irritating when I go from an X value of 100 to 100101, or 110100, or 101010.

I'm not sure I understand but, it seems like the "alignment" toolbar may be able to make things easier.

Again, not sure I understand you correctly but, If you double-click a object with text it will select all be default.
