Recently copy text from a BB document to another format (Word/Excel/Google) pastes jibberish instead of text. Even after running OCR. Typically PDF was created by Word (or CAD). Anyone have ideas how to fix this?

It's a font encoding thing, not a Bluebeam bug. Word and CAD PDFs often embed fonts without proper text mapping, so it looks fine but copies as garbage, flatten the PDF first (Document > Flatten), then run OCR on it. Revu usually skips OCR on pages that already "have text," even broken text flattening wipes that out so OCR builds a fresh, real text layer instead of ignoring the page.
If you can, reexporting from Word/CAD with a standard PDF printer avoids the issue at the source too.
