Moving From iPad to Windows tablet...how to rely on touch only?

Ive been using the ipad version in the field for markups as I walk Cable/Coax lines. But the iPad version is crashing more and more as iOS versions are updated. I looked at the cloud version and it didn't seem to be anywhere close to parity. I'm pretty good with the windows version on my laptop. Have recently gotten a Surface Pro with Snapdragon. Have run into some issues,

First, I'd love to use touch only if possible. All I do is select tools and place the where needed and I edit/add text boxes. Speed is important to me and I'd rather not use a stylus if possible. I'd like to be able to place markups/text, move them around on the screen, and double click to edit text. Is this possible? When I try I get pan and zoom only and I've tried a few preferences around Touch → All Functionality and double clicking on text doesn't work. Or its worked maybe once.

What combination of windows 11 and Revu settings do I need to make this work?

Hi @sbenfield, I’m the Product Manager for Bluebeam’s mobile apps. Great to meet you!

We’ve made significant progress toward parity, with more planned through 2027. We recently added Tool Sets and Image Capture. Is it primarily the speed and touch-first functionality you described that’s missing, or are there other features you need for your field workflow?

I’d also encourage you to try our next major update, expected in November. It will significantly expand Tool Chest support so you can use many more of your existing tools. Another major update is planned for Q1 2027, including the new Markups List.
