Problems with Revu 21 caused by WIndows Update KB5120994

Is anyone experiencing an application failure immediately pops up when apps are opened

0xC0000142? We discovered it is caused by Windows Update release August 11, 2026—Hotpatch KB5120994. When it is removed, Revu 21 works normally. A work around is to run Revu 21 32 bit, but not fully functional. We have over 40 of our employees with the same issue.

That is what we are doing, and 21.11 did not resolve fwiw.

Yes, this appears to be related to the August Windows update KB5120994. Since removing the update restores Revu, I’d recommend pausing the update and raising a case with Bluebeam Support rather than deploying the 32bit workaround across all users.

Also keep Revu updated to the latest 21.x release and monitor Bluebeam’s release notes for a permanent fix.
