We're excited to share that the Bluebeam Revu 21.11 Beta is now open for new testers! This is your chance to explore new features coming soon to Revu, share your feedback directly with our team, and help us shape the best version of Revu for your everyday workflows.

Here are some of the features we'll be focusing on in this beta:

Available for Max plan subscribers to test:

Boundary Detection – Automate area takeoffs. Let AI detect boundaries and extract area measurements for you, instead of tracing every line by hand.
Scale and Viewport Detection via the MCP connector – Spend less time setting up your documents and more time doing the work. Tell your AI to identify the right scales within a sheet and create viewports for you, instead of setting up each viewport manually.

Available for Core, Complete, and Max plan subscribers to test:

New Markup Editing Tools (Split-Merge-Expand-Resume) – Make geometrical changes to markups without having to delete and start over. Reshape a markup and keep measurements and markup properties intact.
Headers & Footers Improvements – Have more confidence and control when publishing a drawing set. Add hyperlinks, images, and logos to headers and footers, get greater control over formatting, and preview what they'll look like before you publish.

I am unable to get past the My Account Settings page this link takes me to. The name and email are correct. I filled out display name and hit submit. nothing. Maybe too many people trying to access the site at one time. Do I have to change my avatar or can my initials shown work?. 12th times the charm. Well that and using Microsoft Edge rather than Google Chrome.

is the Beta test different than just 21.11? I downloaded 21.11 and tried the automatic viewport via Claude and I am getting errors that creating viewports is not a tool currently available via the MCP connector.

Hi Michael, the beta features have not yet been enabled, if you have signed up for the test and are accepted you will get an email from us when the features are enabled and you are ready to start testing.

If you have an Bluebeam ID already you dont need to create a new one. All you need to do is go here and log in to sign up for the test project. If you can't get into the test project with your BBID, can you send me a screenshot of what you are seeing on your end?

I might be missing something, but it looks like 21.11 is already available for public download:

Wouldn't a beta version be numbered differently, like 21.12?

Nope. I said 21.11 and I meant it. We use the currently released build as the test bed for beta testing. Because the most recent version has been rigurously tested before release we can be more confident that any bugs found will be due to beta features rather than a buggy pre-release build. To be clear we are not beta testing 21.11, but we are using 21.11 to beta test new features. Referring to it as the 21.11 beta helps our team keep track of the time frame and dev cycle that the test took place in and not necessarily which version was being tested. A bit confusing I know. But this makes it much easier for me to manage as i dont need to worry about getting everyone a random test build, I can just ask everyone to update to the latest build of Revu and then turn on the beta features for testers.
