Please add more dimensions to polylength measurements

For instance, if I want to measure volume of linear footings or trenches, I have to capture the length and then do the math separately for the volume based on the height/depth/width of the footing.

I would like to be able to assign more dimensions to a polylength so that it will automatically calculate the volume based on the height/depth/width/length.

Hopefully this makes sense.
