We're excited to share a new check is now available in Revu's Smart Review.
What's new
The new Plumbing Tags Not in Plan check automatically cross-checks fixture codes in your plumbing schedule against the tags drawn on your plan views. If a code appears in the schedule but is never placed on a plan, Smart Review flags it as a Medium-risk issue — catching the kind of disconnect that's easy to miss in a manual review and costly to discover in the field.
How it works
Smart Review reads the fixture codes from your schedule's tag column (any column headed "Tag", "Mark", "No.", or "ID") and compares them against plumbing tags on your top-view plan drawings. Any code that doesn't appear on any plan is raised as a flag.
For example: if your schedule lists fixture "CW-7" but that code never appears on a plan, the check catches it.
A few things to keep in mind
- Smart Review requires a Max license.
- The check runs one direction — schedule codes missing from plans. It does not flag plan tags missing from the schedule.
- Schedules must have clear table borders and recognizable column headers to be detected.
- Matching is exact and case-sensitive, so spacing and capitalization need to be consistent.
- Multi-page schedules are processed one page at a time — headers should repeat across pages.
- Very short tags (1–2 letters) and multi-word codes (e.g. "TYPE A FIXTURE") may not be recognized reliably.
- Only top-view plan drawings are included — sections, elevations, and details are not compared.
- Low scan quality can affect accuracy in both directions.
We'd love to hear how this check performs in your workflows!
