It would be very helpful in my HVAC layouts/shop drawings to have some sort of custom measurement, or mill dots on the cross hair. this would significantly help when I am spacing out equipment and supply registers.

I'd definitely find this useful too, especially for HVAC layouts where consistent spacing is critical. Having customizable tick marks or measurement intervals directly on the crosshair would make placing diffusers, grilles, and equipment much faster without constantly checking dimensions. It would be a small feature with a big productivity gain.
