Currently, the Create Table of Contents feature generates a separate PDF page containing links to bookmarks, which is very useful. However, in many projects I don't have room to dedicate an entire page to the table of contents.
It would be incredibly helpful if Revu could generate an embedded Table of Contents that could be placed anywhere on an existing PDF page, similar to a markup or text box. Ideally, this feature would:
- Generate the TOC directly from the document's bookmarks.
- Allow the TOC to be placed and resized anywhere on an existing page (such as a cover sheet or title block).
- Preserve clickable hyperlinks to the associated pages.
- Optionally update automatically when bookmarks are added, removed, or renamed.
- Allow users to customize the appearance (font, columns, spacing, heading, etc.).
This would allow users to include a compact, interactive table of contents on a cover sheet without sacrificing an entire page. It would be especially valuable for construction drawing sets, engineering plans, and other multi-sheet PDF documents where space is limited.
