Updating Measurement labels that contain a markup calculated column

Question

Hi, I am doing some grading using Length measurements. On the Markups List I added 4 columns (elev1, elev2, rise, slopePCT). I basically enter elev1, elev2. Rise is calculated as the difference between them both. And slopePCT is calculated as Rise/Measured length. It works, and on the Length object label I included <>, so it displays along the Length measurement markup. The problem I see is when I change either elev1 or elev2. The new slope is immediately calculated in the Markups list, but does NOT necessarily update the markup label. I have to turn it off, and then back on, in order for the updated value to show. Is there anything I'm not doing right, or is this a bug ? Thanks, Helio

I've got a similar problem where the dynamic label defaults to the previous or some random value when inserting a new measurement.  It needs to be modified and modified back to original.  for example, change elev1 to 0, then back to elev1 to update the label.  This causes problems if you forget to fix it and the wrong value is displayed.  This is a bug and I have reported it to the Bluebeam Team.

After updating to 21.9 the same problem remains. The dynamic labels are not updated when there is a change in the value of the markup list calculated column. So far the only workaround I found was to go to the length measurment's properties, uncheck the Show Caption box, and then check it again. It is annoying though.

I ended up sending an inquiry to tech support. Let's see what they say.

Hi Jason, I'm using 21.8. I tried updating a couple weeks ago, and thought it had worked, but the reminder to update keeps popping up every now and them. I'll try again updating to see if it makes a difference.
