I am currently running BB Revu v21.9, with BB Engine 21.9.0.16288, and I am looking to disable WebTabs. I have already set links to open in external browsers, but they still sometimes open from a mis-click or something of that sort. This isn't a feature that I use, so I would prefer to disable/remove them entirely.
Secondly, and the main reason I'm trying to disable them is website blocking. I currently use an app called "Freedom.to" to block social media and distracting sites during my work day and help me stay focused. It routes traffic through a proxy to block sites on alternate browsers (i.e. WebTabs) and other apps. However, for some reason Revu WebTabs will not run through that proxy, and so all of my social media and other sites load perfectly fine.
Since this is a feature that I would prefer not to use anyway, and it is currently creating a loophole in my anti-distraction software, is there any way to fully disable these? I've tried putting in a registry key, but I think it was for an older version and it did not work. Is there an updated registry key that works with the current version of Revu? I would really prefer to remove them completely if at all possible. Any assistance you could provide would be very helpful!
