Hey guys…
Is there any built in functionality to handle .DWG files ?
If not is there an add-in ?
Any other options would be gratefully received.
Many thanks
Paul
Exactly how i handle DWG's
Bluebeam includes a plugin for AutoCAD that allows exporting DWG files to PDF. You can also use any plotter to generate a PDF. I often use the included AutoCAD PDF plotters though I'm almost exclusively working with 2D.
Hi Dan
Thanks for the information, what I need is to have the ability to open DWG files produced by others.
I don't have AutoCAD.
You can use the free Autodesk viewer at viewer.autodesk.com then upload the .dwg file and you'll have a few things you can do with those files.
@Gibbo If you don't want to upload files, there is a free Windows based viewer called DWG TrueView: https://www.autodesk.com/products/dwg-trueview/overview
