Stretching grouped annotation non-proportionally

Does anyone know of a way to stretched an annotation group non-proportionally? For example, to stretch a section cut of a 2x4 (a bold rectangle with a thin X in it) to become a 2x6?

I can keep things grouped and stretch each piece of annotation within the group, but cannot make all three items (thick rectangle and two thin lines) stretch together in any way other than uniformily.

You can't do this with lines… but you can with poly lines.

1. Un group your objects.

2. Stretch your border (Rectangle in this case)

3. Select all objects

4. Use the alignment tools to align width
