Please consider adding the auto-align feature to batch overlays and compare function in Bluebeam Revu Complete.
This is much needed. I've just completed the overlays of approx 50 drawings only to discover about half don't line up. Having to go back and manually adjust each of those pages and then go for through the drawing naming process again is a real pain!
I logged on tonight to make this suggestion @Sam Carter and @Vince French. I was working my way through some overlays on Friday and noticed how this was lacking from the Batch Overlay process.
At the same time, at least in the current version of review, it appears that if you use the "Document → Overlay Pages" process instead of the "Batch → Overlay Pages" you can select the "Auto Align" option. Not sure if this was the case last year when this was posted originally…
Hi @David Cutler . I think Auto Align was available for single pages back then. I've certainly made requests for Auto Align not only to be made available for Batch Overlays but to also make this the default option for all overlays functions.
That may very well be @Vince French. Since I don't use overlay every day I loose track of when changes have been made. 😎
I'd imagine there are cases where you wouldn't want auto align as the default, but I can't think of any in my workflows. Perhaps this could be a preference setting?
