Academic Student Licensing

We are a campus that has used BlueBeam for many years now and have been fortunate to deploy it to our labs for student use with ease. It comes licensed and ready to use for the students very seamlessly. With the change to academic licensing and requiring faculty and students to create accounts and request access it adds extra steps for them and I'm sure BlueBeam support when there are issues with accounts. I would like to see the option for students and faculty to be able to login to BlueBeam with Entra SSO credentials, and it would activate their account upon first time login. Instead of having to create another login to remember and request access.

Hi Cody, and thanks for sharing this wish for academic licensing! As you probably know, our recent switch in the academic licensing process was driven by the need to get academic users onto Revu 21 subscriptions before Revu 20 licenses reach end of life this coming summer. We launched academic subscriptions as individual accounts, which means they don't have currently have SSO capability, but we're still building out the full academic access structure (renewals, etc.). I will certainly bring SSO up with our team to discuss the feasibility of implementing it for academic users in the future.

In the meantime, please continue sending any users who are experiencing access issues to support@bluebeam.com so ⁠we can get them up and running as quickly as possible!
