Error when clipping polygons. Original control points (vertices) that lie outside the clipping extent either disappear or are displaced.

On Windows, some PDF previews appear in my folders sidebar while others do not. It seems like the ones I created show a preview, but the externally generated ones don't. Is there a setting I can change to make all PDFs show a preview?
