Blubeam should have feature were polygon and area can detect the professional architectural drawing and snap the polygon shapes. Using areas and polygon to re-trace each line of architectural drawings is just not good enough.
I understand where you are coming from @IsmarPasic, but would you trust a program to select the correct lines? It might be different if the linework were "smart", but sometimes I have trouble deciding which line to measure to, and I'm seeing the entire picture!
Are you using other takeoff software that have the feature that you are recommending?
