Is there an easy way to create a hyperlink from a sheet number, such as C-400, that jumps directly to another sheet (for example, C-500), and then have C-500 include a link back to C-400?
Hello, there sure is… you can use this link, which gives you step by step instructions on creating batch links: https://support.bluebeam.com/online-help/revu20/Content/RevuHelp/Menus/Batch/Link/Batch-Link--T.htm?_gl=11spos8r_gcl_awR0NMLjE3NjcyMDA0ODYuQ2owS0NRaUFzTlBLQmhDcUFSSXNBQ20wMWZUNS1fZm91RTBLNG1tbFpoR3pVQkE1ZEFFdlRWSEg4YjFKdmVTeVdfZmNqUmRJZUhSY3ZFRWFBdXRXRUFMd193Y0I._gcl_auNjEyMjkzNDM0LjE3NjQ5NjgxODI._gaMTExMjY4MjcxMy4xNzU3MDk1ODky_ga_Y03FGV8YCR*czE3NzA4NDM0MzAkbzM3JGcxJHQxNzcwODQzNDU3JGozMyRsMCRoMA..
We use that for creating links throughout the plan set. What I would like is a way to create a link so that when I have sheet C-402 pulled up and click on the sheet number it goes to C-502. And C-502 sheet number would link back to C-402. I'm looking for an easy way to navigate between the site and grading sheets of the same view extent.
Only if there's a callout somewhere that returns to the previous sheet (C-400) What you could do maybe is use the previous view buttons, but that can be tedious
I thought it might be a big ask. Thanks for verifying it's not an easy lift.
How about linking to a particular view? So that if we have a leader saying "SEE DETAIL A" that clicking would take the user to the sheet and zoomed in to that detail?
Yes that's possible by setting the link to "Snapshot View" instead of a page to jump to. These need to be created manually, but are really helpful.
Are you using Bookmarks @CNeely? I find them very helpful for finding my way back to where I started when I'm looking at details. You might even consider creating child bookmarks that take you right to the details.
Often I will split my view so that I can look at the detail without loosing my place in the plan set. This works really well if you have multiple monitors.
Hope this helps. 😎
One option is to manually create a hyperlink to the overall plan (C-402) and use "Past in Place" (Crrl+Shift+V) and past it to the same location on the C-500 series of drawings. I will often do something similar to link between Electrical and Architectural plans.
Or another option use a mouse with a forward and back button at the thumb. Clicking the back button will take you to the previous view. This also works with internet browsers.
