Black text is gray when printing

I erased one digit of the original pdf. Then added one character in text box over the erased area. Color is black.

When I print, the character prints gray. And it looks gray in my "recents". (see "5" below)

Anyone have a clue why?

Not sure why @Geom, but do you have a "5" somewhere else on the drawing that you could capture a snip of and paste it into place rather than using a text box?

You could use the "erase content" option to clear out the character that you don't need.
