I spend a lot of time working around this behavior where overwriting highlighted text adopts the formatting of the character space before instead of the actual highlighted text.
In the example below, I would like to update a portion of underlined text by highlighting the partial string, start typing the new text, and for the new text string to overwrite and adopt the formatting of the highlighted portion. Seems like an obvious behavior.
Instead, it does this.
I would assume most would prefer for the format to match what is highlighted and typed over instead of the current behavior.
Anyone else experience this and/or agree that the behavior should change to what is proposed above?
