I have many tools showing as disabled & can't do my take offs. This includeds my tools in my tool chests.
Any suggestions before I cry?
I'd start by ensuring that you are logged in to your account in the upper right corner of your screen:
If you aren't logged in, or if you are not logged in correctly your tools would be grayed out.
If you click on your user name in the upper right corner it will display your account information.
If you are signed in, but it still isn't working next suggestion would be to sign out using the button shown above and then sign back in.

I tried signing out & back in. No changes unfortunately. I also noticed that when I select a tool the properties aren't available, but the measurements are.
Try a troubleshooting version of a profile reset:
If these don't work, it might be a re-install situation
Also, have to check and make sure it's not a locked file, I am sure it's not. I am guessing this is happening on multiple files.
I am having the issue with all my files. I am not able to use the markup tool. Signed out, Signed back in. Still not working. I will see if I can renew my profile, see if that works.
That's certainly worth a shot. I had a user last week with a similar issue and that did the trick.
We have discussed signing out and back and resetting the profile, but how about the simplest of items… are you still assigned a Plan? Do you have either the Basic, Core, or Complete plan assigned to your account? I have seen times when for no apparent reason one of my users or myself has been removed from a plan seemingly out of the blue.

I erased one digit of the original pdf. Then added one character in text box over the erased area. Color is black. When I print, the character prints gray. And it looks gray in my "recents". (see "5" below) Anyone have a clue why?

When using the highlighter to mark completed changes, it often jumps into "text" mode every time it goes over letters, etc. Is there a way to turn this off so I don't accidentally highlight a bunch of text? I know you can hold down the CNTL button, but I'd like something that works more smoothly.
