Revu For IOS Removed from MDM Devices

Does Bluebeam realize at least half of their customers use MDM? Did you know when you remove an app from an app store, it removes the app from all MDM devices thanks to the use of VPP Tokens? I am very glad they took such a careful approach to rolling out the new Bluebeam cloud! Now our 200 field guys have iPads they cant use revu on. Wonderful! Thanks team

I understand the frustration here, and I want to clarify a few points.

Bluebeam does not remotely uninstall apps. Revu for iPad was removed from the App Store for new distribution only, and any removal from managed devices is driven by Apple’s VPP/MDM behavior, not by Bluebeam.

We announced the retirement of Revu for iPad from the App Store back in April 2025. This wasn’t an unannounced or overnight change. Once an app is removed from Apple’s catalog, some MDM configurations will automatically revoke it from devices.

In many cases, this can be remedied by:

Reinstalling Revu for iPad using the same Apple ID that originally downloaded it (App Store → profile icon → Apps), or
Reassigning the app through MDM if your VPP setup supports retaining previously acquired apps.

I know this is disruptive, but I want to be clear about what’s within Bluebeam’s control and what’s governed by Apple’s platform. At the same time, we can’t continue offering software that no longer supported by newer versions of iPadOS.

The first comment is not displayed on the iPad.
