Does Batch Slip Sheet Work Well For you

Hi,

I am using Revu Complete and one of the main reasons I got it is for Batch Slip Sheeting. However, I find this feature to be very inconsistent at best. 2 main issues:

1. The biggest problem is that every time I use it, whatever sheet is replaced, it's book mark is broken. So if I import 50 sheets, then save, those fifty sheet's bookmarks no longer work. A bookmark audit will return 50 broken bookmarks. So then i have to go to each page and repoint the bookmark, or, delete all bookmark and then recreate them using the page labels. But that's not always a good solution because any bookmark properties, such as text color or text bolding, are lost.

So, I typically end up replacing pages one by one if there's not more that 20 to slip sheet.

I've engaged support with this issue, twice, but both times have been told that although they can reproduce the problem, a fix is not forthcoming because not enough people are reporting the same problem.

2. Even though the page labels match, either exactly, or the first character string, Batch Slip sheet does not find the matches. So I have to manually point the pages to their matches.

These 2 issues basically negate the use of Revu Complete for me. Anyone else having these same issues?

Yes, I am not entirely sure of the most technical answer but essentially because the order gets distorted, (new drawings get inserted into the original), this will cause the bookmarks to mess up. They're linked to the page labels but rely on page labels or area of that corresponding drawing number in that order but sometimes some of them work, not entirely sure why.

A lot of people find making a set is the most efficient way to manage revisions. A set is a hyperlink to your original file which you can stay organized through categorizing your pages. It is a little technical setting up but once you get up to speed it works pretty well although I still have questions I need answered in regard to a set. The main draw I believe, is you can slip sheet more than once, so it is like a true timeline of every stage of the project. Bookmarks still mess up but you can stay organized better within the sets table of contents. The other thing is you can add more than one drawing file because it is hyperlinked. So, you can navigate through multiple files as if it were combined without the lag of a large file.

Hopefully someone else can provide some feedback as I'm sort of a novice with sets and slip sheeting
