Would it be possible to add a option to split one polyline into two sections.
you can already do that. Rt. Click on the line and select Split.
I believe that they only applied the split function to PolyLength, Looking for it to be added to Polyline.
@mbrennan I was going to say the same as @Doug McLean, but you are correct with Polylines the split functionality isn't available.
This is one of a few reasons that I do my best to make all of my markups as measurements - I manage what, if anything, is displayed caption wise. There is of course the added step of having to set a scale on a document that otherwise would not need it, but it provides significantly more flexibility.

I really wish I had this feature today. Process Flow Diagramming on a P&ID showing flowpaths. When valves change, I'd really like to split a polyline and redirect the paths.
@Ryan Arbon I believe if you have Bluebeam Max you should now be able to convert your "Polyline" markups to "Polylength" markups using the "Magic Wand". As a disclaimer I don't have Max myself yet to confirm this. Perhaps @Doug McLean or @Shaya Birnbaum can confirm this.
You sure can. Rt. Click and then Convert To: or Select a Custom Tool from a Toolchest and then hold Ctrl + Shift while on the Polyline
