Hotkeys for Custom Tools

There should be a way to assign non-numerical hotkeys to custom tools.

Currently, I have several custom toolboxes; the "My Tools" toolbox in particular I have around 30 custom tools which have numerical hotkeys. The numerical hotkeys are fine, but when getting into the double digits, it's inconvenient to need to press "19" to access that tool.
Adding keyboard shortcuts currently only applies to the default tools, but there is no way for me to re-assign a custom tool to say, "E."

I can slightly work around this by customizing the default setting of certain tools, like a polygon, but when I have three different polygons that limits me. I would like to be able to assign any desired shortcut/hotkey to any of my custom tools. Thanks for reading/considering!

I disagree @bpalladino, sorry!
I think that the numbering system is PERFECT. I can hit every shortcut with one hand without thinking, and the live highlight as each digit is pressed is a huge plus because it confirms the tool instantly.
