A common issue I run into is in situations where synchronize document would be helpful: Backchecking old plan sets, comparing two documents, etc. I can't use the synchronize document or page tools since the two or more pdfs have different page counts/page orders.
It would be great to have a synchronize document tool that syncs docs at the current page each pdf is on.
For example: Document 1 has 90 pages with relevant design sheets starting on sheet 45, Document 2 has 300 pages with relevant design sheets starting on page 100. If I could flip to page 45 on doc 1 and 100 on doc 2 then sync documents to the current sheet, I could flip through the design sheets on both easily (45/100, 46/101, 47/102..)
An even better feature would be to synchronize documents based on their contents rather than page number. The overlay tool has an "auto align" in which bluebeam looks as the multiple documents and attempts to align them if one is slightly adjusted away from page center or the previous alignment. If an "auto synchronize" could be added that would attempt to synchronize two similar sheets based on their content, it would be so helpful to compare documents from different plan sets, with different page counts, and different page orders.
For example: Document 1 has a title sheet, grading sheet, and detail sheet from 30% plans, document 2 has a cover sheet, title sheet, general notes sheet, grading sheet, demo sheet, and detail sheet in that order for 60% plans, it would be very useful to "auto synchronize" where bluebeam attempts to display doc 1's title sheet on view 1 and doc 2's title sheet on view 2 then on the next page turn, doc 1's grading sheet and doc 2's grading sheet, and so on. The remainder of the new sheets in doc 2 could be displayed in view 2 after all similar sheets have been displayed.
Currently, if I want to sync two documents, I need to manually remove the "extra" pages from document 2 in order to "match up" pages correctly.
