With no intentional change of software I have run into a situation that causes Revu v21.7 to be unusable for modifying PDF files. It only functions as a viewer. V21.7 has been working without issue until now. Multiple problems occur:
- All markup tools are grayed out and non-functional.
- The BB logo and the text "Sign In" displays in the upper right hand side of the application.
- When I click on "Sign-in" My name and email address flash on the screen for a second but no Sign-in dialog box displays where I can sign in. Somehow my credentials are stored and displayed yet Revu doesn't recognize that I am signed in.
- There is also no option to sign out.
- When I click on the Bluebeam Studio icon at the left side of the application the "Sign In" and region selection pull down are grayed out and do nothing when clicked.
- The little connect/disconnect plug icon at the top right of the Bluebeam Studio sign-in panel does not respond at all when clicked - no "Sign In" dialog box appears.
So far I have reinstalled v21.7 twice with no change in behavior. I have also tried installing V21.6 with no change in behavior - same issue. I have restarted the computer in between each installation. I have created a new profile with no change.
I have successfully signed in on two other computers with no issues on one machine BUT on another computer I am plagued with what appears to be a spurious message stating "Error signing into Revu: 403 Forbidden". This error has an OK button which dismisses the error with no problematic functional issues at all. It doesn't log me out, doesn't require me to log back in - just an annoying popup. Nobody else in our office is getting this message and there are no network or internet connection issues. I have no idea if this "403" error has anything to do with the issue of signing in noted above. I mention it only because the same login credentials were used on both computers.
Hopefully this is something simple that I've overlooked. I sent a message to Bluebeam support last week which claimed "We're working on it". I have not received an update. Any help is welcome.
