🚀📲 New Bluebeam iOS & Android Releases Are Here!

Available now on the App Store and Google Play, we’re proud to announce two of our biggest mobile updates of the year — packed with new features for everyone, including unlicensed users. These updates make it easier than ever to access your files, work offline, and markup on the go.

What's new in Bluebeam Cloud iOS v1.24:

• Edit locally stored PDFs
  Open and mark up PDFs saved directly on your device, from other DMS apps, or through the iOS Files app. Files opened from supported storage providers can be saved back to their original location, while others can be exported elsewhere. If you’re working with files from a DMS, be sure they’re downloaded first so you can access and edit them offline in Bluebeam.
  
  
• Offline Studio Projects
  Designate entire Projects, folders, or individual files to be used offline. Items are checked for revisions when you’re online and synced in the background during app launch, reconnect, or overnight. Files you don’t designate are still cached automatically but removed after 90 days to save space.
  
  
• Pen eraser
  Erase parts of individual pen strokes while drawing or editing, giving you more control without needing to start over.
  
  
• Freehand improvements
  Drawing with Apple Pencil or touch is now smoother and more responsive, fixing lag and input delay reported by users.
  

What's new in Bluebeam Cloud Android v1.12:

• Check out and check in Project files (Licensed Users Only)
  You can now check out Studio Project files directly from your Android device. While checked out, you can add, edit, or delete markups. Files can be checked out from any platform, but to keep your changes, make sure you check the file back in from the same platform you used to make edits.
  
  
• Pen tool
  Draw smooth, freehand strokes to sketch, underline, or circle content in your PDFs. Great for quick notes or markups on both Sessions and Projects.
  
  
• Highlighter tool
  Emphasize important text or areas in your documents with translucent, freehand strokes or by selecting text directly. Works in both Sessions and Projects.Both releases also include refreshed app descriptions, metadata, and screenshots in the stores.
  

And we’re not stopping here. Later this year, you’ll see even more major improvements, including Tool Sets and editor upgrades that will keep making Bluebeam on mobile a powerful tool for every user. Stay tuned — the best is yet to come! 🙌✨

Quick guidance question for onboarding:
For new iOS users, should we encourage them to download the Bluebeam app or start in Bluebeam on the web via browser? From a trainer/reseller perspective, I want to steer teams the right way for Sessions/Projects and day-one markup work—so any current best-practice from Product would be appreciated.

Small feature request from the field:

I would like it to be possible—just as you can modify the Status and add Comments from the mobile app (in parity with the desktop version)—to also add the ability to attach photos to a markup directly from the device’s camera (that is, enable Revu’s Capture on mobile as on desktop).

This feature would make site observations and punch items much more practical on phones and tablets. Many of our customers would use it daily.
