We were messing with settings now all the tools in my tool box are numbered and now I can't find the setting to get rid of the numbers next to the tools.
You've probably moved the shortcut numbers from My Tools to another tool set. Go to the Properties cog next to My Tools and select Set Numbering to reallocate the numbers.
After hitting the set numbers the numbers are still there. We are trying to figure out how to get rid of the numbers. Is the button supposed to toggle the numbers on and off or does ours have a bug?
As far as I'm aware the numbers are always on one of the Tool Chests and Set Numbering just changes which Tool Chest - I don't recall an option for being able to turn these off totally.
@Vince French is correct, at least one tool box in the chest will always have the numbers showing, if you create a "dummy" chest you can throw some fake tools in there and set numbers and forget about it.
I am actually trying to do the opposite, to manipulate the set numbering so that i can switch which tool set has numbers for hot keys and I am not seeing the set numbering feature appear on the cog next to my tool sets' names
If you click on the cog of the tool set that you are trying to apply the numbers to, there should be the Enable Number Shortcuts option.
