Every Time I load a document, it says this document has a protected scale and won't let me measure anything. Anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks
Are you allowed to share one such file with us, so we can poke around? We understand if it's proprietary and you can't.
Second, you may have to try this trick. But this only helps if it's an occasional issue. If it's happening often with in-house files, it may be a hidden setting that needs to be fixed.
Some are proprietary I don't recall the last one I did this on. I know it works though. Also with other web browsers. Next time it happens I'll do a step by step post with what I observe, screenshots and details on how to make it work. It would be great if whoever releases the documents would just make a clean unlocked copy preferably with page labels. Stay tuned, and Happy Bluebeaming!
I think @Luke Shiras was asking the OP to share a file that they are having the issue on…

My color PDFs are showing as black and white. The mark ups are in color, but the original document is not. How do I get them to show as color?
hi i am currently seacrhing for a compatible tablet/ipad for Bluebeam, preferably with a compatible pen. would anyone have any advice? Thanks
Hi I’m new to Bluebeam so quite raw, I’ve inherited somebody else’s toolbox, and I’m not allowed to change the items within the toolbox (company policy), so my reason for writing is within my toolbox there are lots of rectangles which I can’t rotate to line up with diagonal lines on my drawing templates i.e. school…
Hey guys, my name is sam, fairly new user. I was sent a set of pdf's that are scale protected, so blue beam will not work is there a way to unlock these at my end or do I need to reach out to the engineers to unlock? thanks
There is a black line that appears when converting from PDF to TIFF. It normally blacks out the title block but have had it black out parts of drawings recently. Is there any way to prevent this black line?
This might be a really obvious one but I can't seem to figure out the best way to do this: I frequently mark up drawing sets for estimates wherein there are multiple pass-through trades under my scope. What I want to do is to be able to do takeoffs for multiple trades, giving them each their own layer that represents them,…

Last night, our Admin team nearly lost their minds. While converting 92 Word documents to PDF, they discovered that the new PDFs were displaying the old versions of the Word documents. Any ideas what caused this and how to prevent or correct the problem if it happens again? They converted perfectly this morning.
