My colleague is using a surface laptop studio. He has an issue with Bluebeam and the zoom function with touchscreen. When he uses his fingers it zooms the wrong way around. Are there any solutions? Using Desktop Revu 21.
When he uses his fingers it zooms the wrong way around
When he "pinches", does it zoom in or out? "Wrong" is relative. Either way, it sounds like a laptop setting more than a BB issue. Does zooming work differently in his other programs?
He may just have to change his habits.
Enable Tablet Zoom Feature: When enabled, the zoom/pan tool appears when the mouse or pen is double-clicked or double-tapped. This tool makes it easier to zoom and pan a PDF using just the stylus. Click the stylus anywhere within the light-blue area and drag up to zoom in or drag down to zoom out. Click anywhere outside the light-blue area to pan. This tool looks like:

Thank you for the response. This issue is not present in any office apps. Only in Bluebeam, so I believe it is not a device setting issue. It seems to only be an issue with the touchscreen, rather than the mouse. We do have tablet zoom enabled. But when my colleague tries to zoom in using the touchscreen, it zooms out instead. And vice versa, meaning the zoom feature is essentially working in opposite direction, if that makes a bit more sense.
A colleague of mine is experiencing the identical issue also on a surface studio. Machine rebooted with a windows update last night. Now pinch to zoom works opposite as expected (pinch to zoom out)(and opposite the way it worked yesterday). Revu 21 was updated this morning during troubleshooting. This issue is only happening in revu irrespective of the individual pdf file. Pinch to zoom functions as expected in other office apps.
We changed his cable configuration from mini DP—>DP to mini DP→HDMI and this resolved it for some reason. Another note, he had no issues when not connected to any monitors. Not sure if this issue is cable specific. I would notify your colleague to try the zoom feature on their laptop with no external monitors.
interesting. When the external monitors are disconnected, the zoom functionality works correctly.
we uninstalled the latest windows update. the zoom functionality is still reversed only in revu 21.
unsure what caused the change in how zoom operates only in revu that has only been reported here in the last couple of days and that seems to possibly be related to external monitors
Likely a recent Revu update. The issues were only present since the date of my post. I could not find any other information on this issue.
Try turning your USB-C cables around. 😁
